About the position

As an Assistant Project Manager in Civil Engineering at Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc., you will collaborate with project teams to design civil engineering site developments, prepare construction plans, and manage municipal zoning applications for various clients. This role involves engaging with clients, contractors, and government officials throughout the project lifecycle, from initial design to construction completion. You will also mentor junior staff and coordinate with other engineering practices to meet project needs, all while enjoying a flexible work schedule and opportunities for professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Create civil engineering site development designs.
  • Develop permitting and construction plans.
  • Prepare municipal zoning and land development applications.
  • Interact with clients, contractors, and local government officials.
  • Coordinate with other engineering practices to address project-specific needs.
  • Mentor junior staff on technical items.
  • Attend industry organization and client meetings.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering (M.S. preferred).
  • 5-8 years of engineering experience.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • E.I.T. or P.E. preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, and Storm Sewers.

Nice-to-haves
