JT Engineering, Inc. is seeking a skilled Civil Engineering Construction Manager to join our dynamic team in Madison, WI. In this role, you will manage the entire project lifecycle, from project pursuit through delivery, which includes overseeing scope, schedule, technical requirements, contractual obligations, client communications, staffing, and budget management. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders will be a key aspect of your responsibilities, as will effective communication both internally and externally. You will also support your colleagues on transportation-related projects and assist in determining staffing needs, recruiting, and maintaining a skilled workforce. Additionally, you will administer the JT Quality Assurance process for all projects, ensuring that we uphold our commitment to excellence in every aspect of our work. Responsibilities

  • Setting goals, monitoring, and implementing short and long-term vision for the team as part of the annual business plan.
  • Developing staff through supervising, coaching, mentoring, and training.
  • Managing scope, schedule, technical requirements, contractual obligations, client communications, staffing, and budget for the entire project lifecycle, from project pursuit through project delivery.
  • Building and maintaining client and stakeholder relationships.
  • Communicating effectively internally and externally.
  • Supporting staff and colleagues on transportation-related projects.
  • Assisting in determining staffing needs, recruiting, and maintaining a skilled workforce.
  • Administering the JT Quality Assurance process for all projects.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university; or equivalent years of relevant education and experience.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience leading projects and managing staff.
  • A Professional Engineer (PE) License in the State of Wisconsin or ability to obtain PE (preferred).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation for worksites, client meetings, and conferences.
  • To be legally authorized to work permanently in the country where this position is located.
