About the position

The Civil Engineering Designer I position is an entry-level role designed for individuals who have recently completed a degree in civil engineering. This role provides the opportunity to work closely with experienced engineers, gaining hands-on experience in designing, analyzing, and implementing various civil engineering projects. The position involves a range of responsibilities from site development to environmental impact analysis, allowing for skill expansion and career growth in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering projects, including transportation, site development, and environmental infrastructure.
• Conduct technical analyses and calculations under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Prepare and revise detailed engineering drawings and designs using CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar).
• Participate in fieldwork, site assessments, and data collection as needed to support project development.
• Prepare project documentation, including reports, cost estimates, and specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to ensure project milestones and deliverables are met on schedule.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 0-2 years of experience in civil engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when required.
• EIT certification (or commitment to pursue) is preferred.
