About the position
Bowman Consulting Group is seeking a Civil Engineering Team Lead in Waco, TX, to provide engineering and design services while leading a team of engineers. The role involves managing projects, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring timely and budget-compliant project delivery. The Team Lead will also engage in business development and maintain client relationships, contributing to the growth and profitability of the firm.
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering and production team through the planning and design of civil engineering projects.
- Manage people and processes to ensure effective execution of projects.
- Review work produced by staff for quality assurance.
- Assist with marketing the firm's capabilities to establish new clients and enhance relationships with existing clients.
- Execute project contracts and develop internal staff.
- Mentor and direct junior staff, coordinating with project managers.
- Prepare new contract proposals and attend project meetings.
- Provide technical assistance in the resolution of design problems.
- Act as the technical specialist for advanced concepts in civil engineering.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
- Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas.
- Ten or more years of engineering or related land development experience.
- Minimum of four years of Texas work experience.
- Experience with water/wastewater systems and water treatment.
- Demonstrated proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Civil3D.
