About the position

DAAR Engineering, Inc. is seeking full-time Civil Engineering Technicians to support both public and private sector improvement projects. The role involves assisting in the development and inspection of highway and bridge construction projects, ensuring compliance with established processes and project plans.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of highway improvement projects in accordance with established processes
• Perform highway and bridge construction inspection
• Review, read, and interpret project plans and construction documents
• Provide assistance to project management in overall project team activities by functioning as a member of a division or project team
• Assist in preparing plans and design documents

Requirements

• Minimum of a two-year civil engineering technology degree
• 1+ years' related experience
• Possess a broad-based knowledge of the construction process
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written, graphical, and verbal forms
• Experience with Microsoft Office required
• Experience with Field Manager and/or Field Book
• Knowledge of Wisconsin Department of Transportation and local agency procedures is a plus
• Knowledge of WisDOT Materials process desirable
• Certifications in WisDOT Highway Technician Program desirable
• Civil 3D experience desirable
• Survey Experience desirable
• Must possess a valid driver's license and provide own means of reliable transportation
• Ability to travel as needed for meetings, on-site inspections, etc.
• Ability to multitask a variety of office and fieldwork duties
• Possess both technical and problem-solving skills
