About the position

Barton & Loguidice, D.P.C. is a multi-disciplined consulting engineering firm that is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Civil or Environmental Engineer for a full-time position in Camp Hill, State College, or Williamsport, PA. This role primarily involves engineering tasks related to general civil and environmental engineering, with a specific focus on solid waste management facilities and systems. The successful candidate will engage in a variety of technical duties, including data collection and analysis, design calculations, estimates, and the production of specifications and design drawings. Additionally, the engineer will be responsible for onsite verification of construction projects to ensure compliance with established plans and specifications. The position will also require the preparation of engineering design reports, feasibility studies, environmental studies, and solid waste management plans. Specific assignments may include developing site layout and grading plans, designing stormwater conveyance and storage facilities, implementing erosion control measures, and designing site utilities, on-site roadways, and ancillary buildings and structures. Responsibilities

  • Conduct data collection and analysis for engineering projects.
  • Perform design calculations and prepare estimates for project costs.
  • Produce specifications and design drawings for civil and environmental engineering projects.
  • Verify construction projects onsite for compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Prepare engineering design reports, feasibility studies, and environmental studies.
  • Develop solid waste management plans and related documentation.
  • Create site layout and grading plans, including stormwater conveyance and storage facilities.
  • Design erosion control measures and site utilities, including on-site roadways and ancillary structures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4-8 years of experience in the consulting industry or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in PA or the ability to obtain reciprocity is desired.
  • Experience with the design and layout of site plans, grading plans, pipelines, and stormwater systems is a plus.
  • Construction observation and contract administration experience is preferred.
  • Willingness to work on seasonal field assignments.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in solid waste management facilities and systems.
  • Familiarity with environmental studies and feasibility studies.
