About the position

The Civil/Environmental Project Manager at HDR, Inc. is responsible for overseeing all aspects of technical engineering and project management for civil and environmental projects. This role involves managing client relationships, leading project pursuits, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The position requires a strong background in civil engineering, project management, and experience with waste management projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, permit, and administer construction of civil/site and environmental projects such as landfills and remediation sites.
• Lead project design and management for small to large scale projects, demonstrating progressive experience in similar roles.
• Assist in sustaining and growing client relationships and contribute to business development opportunities.
• Identify upcoming project opportunities and participate in project pursuit and proposal development, including scope and budget creation.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to team growth and development.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• 7 years of related experience
• A minimum of 2 years of project management experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Experience with MS Office and MS Project; Access experience is a plus
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Commitment to being an active participant in an employee-owned culture.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering degree
• Minimum 7 years' experience with civil/site/environmental projects
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Nebraska and/or Iowa
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Experience in project development and execution in both Public and Private sectors.
