The Civil/Geotechnical Superintendent will play a crucial role in overseeing all on-site construction activities for various projects across the nation. This position requires a seasoned professional who can manage laborers, operators, schedules, vendors, and subcontractors effectively. The Superintendent is responsible for ensuring that projects are completed within the established timelines and budget while adhering to the company's quality and safety standards. The role demands strong leadership skills, as the Superintendent will provide guidance to field staff and ensure the smooth functioning of day-to-day project needs. The majority of the geotechnical work will be focused in the Rocky Mountains, although projects may also take place in other states. The company specializes in completing projects in remote locations, often in mountainous and hard-to-access areas. Therefore, problem-solving abilities, teamwork, and meticulous planning are essential for success in this role. The position requires extensive and continuous travel, with some allowance for time to return home. The Superintendent will ensure that site safety measures meet or exceed the parameters set out by the corporate safety manual, safety plan, client requirements, or any other authorities. They will coordinate job personnel, materials, equipment, and all work activities to successfully complete tasks and projects on schedule. The Superintendent will also be responsible for mentoring their crew, promoting the company's safety culture, and achieving project goals through effective communication and leadership.
