As a Highway Engineer, you will be responsible for designing roadway geometric alignments, developing 3D surfaces for creating profiles, cross sections, and earthwork volumes, and producing construction plans and specifications. You will also guide and develop lower-level engineers on the team, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard. Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation is essential, as you will be involved in designing and drafting using these tools. Additionally, you will be tasked with estimating quantities and costs associated with projects, which requires a keen attention to detail and a commitment to completing projects on time. Responsibilities

  • Design roadway geometric alignments.
  • Develop 3D surfaces for creating profiles, cross sections, and earthwork volumes.
  • Produce construction plans and specifications.
  • Guide and develop lower-level engineers on the team.
  • Design and draft in AutoCAD and MicroStation.
  • Estimate quantities and costs.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field).
  • 5+ years of related work experience.
  • An Engineering-In-Training certificate.
  • A Professional Engineering license or plan to obtain a PE in the near future.
  • Excel spreadsheet expertise.
  • Word document expertise.
