About the position

The Senior Civil/Industrial Engineer at Naval Systems, Inc. is responsible for providing engineering consultation and technical assistance for facilities related to aircraft and depot facility equipment. This role involves supporting the Fleet Readiness Center, East, by preparing and maintaining Electronic Work Packages, providing on-site production support, and applying engineering principles to solve complex problems in military facilities. The engineer will also manage project procedures, lead problem resolution efforts, and interface with contractors and government representatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide organizational, intermediate, and depot level facilities engineering consultation and liaison services.
• Prepare, review, and maintain Electronic Work Packages for production and engineering support.
• Provide on-site production shop support within the FRC industrial complex.
• Perform modification, maintenance, and documentation of facilities engineering support systems.
• Apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate military facilities or workspaces.
• Review and prepare engineering and technical analysis, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.
• Manage project procedures and controls, including manning and staffing project efforts.
• Lead problem resolution efforts and interface with contractors, vendors, and government representatives.

Requirements

• BS degree in professional engineering or a relevant scientific/technical degree from an ABET-accredited program.
• At least ten (10) years of extensive experience performing functional duties related to the position.
• Secret Security Clearance is required.
• U.S. citizenship.

Nice-to-haves

• Licensed Construction Contractor with construction project management experience.
• Experience in project development from design through construction and project completion.
• Knowledge in procurement and supply chain management, scheduling, quality control, worksite supervision, and budgeting.
