About the position

As a Civil/Mechanical Engineer II/III at Milhouse Engineering and Construction, you will manage pipeline projects, ensuring they meet client expectations while adhering to design codes and safety requirements. This role involves effective communication with clients and municipalities, project scoping, cost estimation, and providing guidance on design plans and material selection.

Responsibilities

  • Design to client and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage small to mid-size projects to schedule and budget.
  • Keep Milhouse Engineering management advised of all quality, schedule, and budget variances in a timely manner.
  • Manage subordinate or other discipline resources to quality, schedule, and budget requirements.
  • Prepare project documents and reports.
  • Maintain project files.
  • Create and enforce project quality plan.
  • Data and document entry into various platforms.
  • Report safety, health, and quality issues to management.
  • Prepare contract amendments, change order documentation, and claims documentation.

Requirements

  • Four-year technical degree from an ABET accredited institution.
  • 3 plus years of relevant experience.
  • EIT required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and MicroStation.
  • Knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
  • Knowledge of Primavera P6 schedule analysis.
  • Familiar with discipline specific design software and design management systems.
  • Knowledge of standard format specification development.
  • Previous experience managing a large number of small deadlines.
  • Exhibit great communication skills and can speak internally and with clients clearly and effectively.
  • Entrepreneurial/business minded individual is preferred.
  • Adaptable to new concepts and can learn them quickly.
  • Experience with managing project schedules and keeping projects on task to meet client deadlines.
