About the position

As a Pre Sales Dealer Enablement Trainer at Trimble Inc., you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the capabilities of our sales teams and dealers within the Civil Construction sector. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about technology in civil construction and are eager to share their knowledge and expertise with others. You will be responsible for leading the development and deployment of comprehensive training curricula and content that supports the pre-sales training of dealers for our Civil Construction portfolio, which includes both machine and office software solutions. Your primary focus will be to teach and enable our sellers, both internal and external, on how to effectively sell Trimble's Civil Construction offerings. This involves articulating the value proposition of our solutions and understanding the pain points faced by contractors. You will be expected to conduct training sessions through various formats, including e-learning platforms, virtual-led training, and in-person workshops. Collaboration with the business will be essential to ensure that product messaging and customer value propositions are accurately translated into effective learning content. In addition to training, you will provide structured feedback from sellers to the marketing team, which will be instrumental in informing product development and enhancing our offerings. This role requires a deep understanding of the civil construction industry, the specific needs of our target markets, and the ability to create structured and organized training materials from diverse inputs. Comfort with technology and various deployment methods is crucial for success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and deployment of training curricula for pre-sales training of dealers in the Civil Construction portfolio.
  • Teach internal sellers and dealers how to effectively sell Trimble's Civil Construction offerings.
  • Articulate the value proposition of solutions for contractors' businesses and address contractor pain points during sales demos.
  • Develop and deploy training content through e-learning sites, virtual-led training, and in-person sessions.
  • Collaborate with the business to understand product messaging and customer value propositions, translating them into learning content.
  • Coordinate with the Post Sales Dealer Training team as needed to ensure comprehensive training coverage.
  • Provide structured feedback from sellers to the marketing team to inform product development.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of the civil construction industry and its target markets.
  • Strong knowledge of Trimble's offerings for civil construction contractors, including customer pain points and key workflows.
  • Ability to differentiate between teaching sellers how to sell a product and training customers post-sales.
  • Strong organizational skills with a systems mindset to create clear structures from multiple inputs.
  • Comfort with technology for training deployment, including e-learning websites and video conferencing.
