About the position
The Civil Project Design Engineer at IMEG is a pivotal role for experienced engineers looking to advance their careers. This position involves acting as a Project Manager on various projects, providing mentorship, and conducting detailed engineering analyses. Responsibilities
- Perform as Project Manager on various projects.
- Mentor Civil Design Technicians and/or Civil Designers.
- Prepare engineering reports, permit applications, and construction plans.
- Collaborate with other Project Managers on staff resourcing and scheduling.
- Coordinate with planning, survey, municipal, transportation, and other civil departments.
- Direct staff in the design of on-site and public water and sewer systems according to local regulations.
- Oversee field inspections to ensure compliance with approved plans.
- Complete permit applications for various agencies.
- Interpret state and local design criteria for specific project needs.
- Produce high-quality construction documents.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer license.
- Minimum of 5 years of engineering design experience in an engineering firm, with 6 years preferred.
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles for technical plans and drawings.
- Understanding of materials, methods, and tools involved in construction.
- Skill in Microsoft Office programs.
- Expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D software is desirable.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.

- Experience in project leadership in a technical or managerial capacity.
- Ability to devise new alternatives or approaches to engineering problems.
