About the position

The Civil Project Engineer for Drinking Water/Reuse will be responsible for providing innovative water treatment, reuse, and optimization solutions to clients. This role involves project management, design, and construction administration, ensuring high-quality deliverables are met on time and within budget. The position also emphasizes maintaining and enhancing client relationships while supporting business development efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional services for water treatment, reuse, and optimization projects including project management, optimization, design, and construction administration.
  • Deliver client-focused solutions through research, analyses, and treatment approaches such as coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, and various disinfection methods.
  • Maintain existing client relationships and enhance pursued relationships with clients.
  • Identify, evaluate, pursue, and manage project opportunities.
  • Ensure quality control and quality assurance on all project work.
  • Maintain budgets and schedules of project assignments.
  • Coordinate, facilitate, and attend internal and external meetings.
  • Collaborate across a multi-disciplinary team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • 4+ years of experience in municipal civil engineering, particularly in the water market sector.
  • Technical proficiency in water treatment technology, reuse assessment, and management.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel as required for project/client responsibilities and business development.
  • Ability to work remotely and manage projects, clients, and project team members.
  • Knowledge of design standards and permitting.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in civil or environmental engineering.
  • 8+ years of experience in municipal water engineering (Drinking Water, Wastewater, Stormwater, Water Resources).
  • Project management experience.
  • Knowledge of project financials & funding programs.
