About the position

Timmons Group is seeking a Civil Project Engineer II specializing in Structure & Bridge Design for their Raleigh, NC office. This role involves performing both routine and complex designs related to renewable energy projects, particularly focusing on steel and concrete structures. The successful candidate will assist in project management, scope development, and marketing efforts, contributing to the overall success of the engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex design of steel piles and steel connections.
• Perform routine and complex design of cast-in-place concrete slabs.
• Assist with the development of scope, schedule, and budgets for projects.
• Assist with the management of projects and tasks.
• Assist with marketing and proposal development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required, Master's degree preferred.
• 2+ years of structure and/or bridge design experience required.
• PE License is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in structural design software packages, specifically LPile, Mathcad, Excel.
• Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD for plan development.
• Proficiency with Excel/AutoCAD interoperability to create pile plot plans.
