About the position

The Project Engineer, PE will join the Municipal team at Bolton & Menk in Fargo, focusing on managing and executing multiple engineering projects related to community infrastructure. This role emphasizes collaboration with Project Managers to meet client needs, technical advisory on design and construction, and coordination of construction administration.

Responsibilities

• Manage planning, scheduling, and performance of multiple engineering projects and personnel.
• Work closely with Project Managers to understand client needs and expectations.
• Review and prepare preliminary reports and feasibility studies.
• Read and interpret engineering plans, specifications, and reports.
• Provide technical advice regarding design, construction, or modifications to clients and contractors.
• Assist with business development activities, including client needs assessment and proposal preparation.
• Coordinate construction administration and monitor documentation requirements with field staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Minnesota.
• 4+ years of progressive experience in the civil engineering field, preferably with municipal infrastructure.
• Experience in plan and specification development with construction contract administration.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Knowledge of MnDOT requirements.
• Valid driver's license for travel to various facilities and job sites.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with MicroStation (preferred).
• Experience with REVIT (preferred).
