About the position

The Project Engineer, PE will be responsible for managing multiple engineering projects and personnel within the Municipal team at Bolton & Menk. This role involves planning, scheduling, and overseeing both design and construction phases, ensuring that client needs and expectations are met while contributing to the mission of creating safe, sustainable, and beautiful communities.

Responsibilities

• Manage planning, scheduling, and performance of multiple engineering projects and personnel.
• Work closely with Project Managers to understand client needs and expectations.
• Review and/or prepare preliminary reports and feasibility studies.
• Read and interpret engineering plans, specifications, and reports.
• Provide technical advice regarding design, construction, or modifications to clients, contractors, and staff.
• Assist with business development activities including client needs assessment, research, and proposals.
• Coordinate construction administration and monitor documentation requirements with field staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Minnesota.
• 4+ years of progressive experience in the civil engineering field, preferably with municipal infrastructure.
• Experience in plan and specification development with construction contract administration.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Knowledge of MnDOT requirements.
• Possess a valid driver's license for travel to various facilities and job sites.

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering (preferred).
• Bachelor's degree in Water Resources Engineering (preferred).
• Experience with MicroStation (preferred).
• Experience with REVIT (preferred).
