As a Civil Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in planning, designing, and directing various engineering projects, including streets, roads, residential and commercial developments, municipal projects, institutional facilities, industrial facilities, drainage projects, airports, and channels. Your responsibilities will include analyzing reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, tests, and aerial photographs to assess soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and other topographic and geologic data necessary for project planning and design. You will calculate costs, determine project feasibility based on your analysis, and prepare detailed cost estimates. Utilizing computer-assisted engineering and design software, you will create engineering and design documents, modify reports, specifications, plans, and construction schedules, and conduct environmental impact studies. Regular meetings with clients will be essential to coordinate changes, inform them of additional requirements, and resolve any issues that may arise. You will also coordinate with government officials to obtain necessary approvals and permits for your projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies. As a Project Manager, you will adhere to the CTA Project Management Plan, ensuring that all team members involved in assigned projects follow the established guidelines. You may supervise the design work of engineers and technicians supporting your projects, fostering teamwork and collaboration. To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate competencies in business acumen, project management, product/process design, problem-solving, technical expertise, and effective communication skills.
