The Civil Project Engineer position at Professional Engineering Consultants (PEC) is designed for individuals seeking personal and professional growth in the transportation engineering field. This role emphasizes collaboration within a team environment, where engineers engage in problem-solving, site visits, and direct client interactions. The position is supported by the Municipal Transportation team, which offers a variety of services including transportation planning, roadway and bridge design, and traffic engineering.

Responsibilities

• Work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
• Communicate effectively with clients, both orally and in writing.
• Determine project requirements, set project scope, and review contracts.
• Manage multiple objectives, clients, contractors, and internal team members.
• Complete projects on time and within budget while meeting project goals.
• Coordinate with the Design Team to ensure effective communication and project execution.
• Comply with project construction and design budgets, schedules, and contract requirements.
• Coordinate team members to achieve project goals and schedules.

Requirements

• B.S. Degree in an appropriate field of study from an accredited college.
• Minimum of four years of related experience.
• Professional Engineering Licensure in the location of practice is required.

Nice-to-haves

• AutoCAD and Revit 3D skills are preferred.
