About the position

The Civil Project Engineer will play a crucial role in managing and executing engineering projects for a prominent Civil General Contractor. This position involves overseeing various civil construction projects, ensuring compliance with standards, and collaborating with clients and project teams to achieve project goals.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring assigned engineering projects.
• Formulating project parameters and assigning responsibilities to team members.
• Interacting with clients to interpret their needs and represent them in the field.
• Performing quality control tasks on budgets, schedules, plans, and personnel performance.
• Cooperating and communicating with the project manager and other participants.
• Collaborating with senior engineers to improve project methods and profitability.
• Reviewing engineering tasks and initiating corrective actions as needed.
• Developing specifications for required project equipment.
• Creating frameworks to measure project metrics and data collection.
• Establishing field test methods and monitoring quality of tests.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable codes, practices, policies, and performance standards.

Requirements

• 3+ years of strong civil construction experience.
• Stable work history.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is a plus.
• Experience with projects of $10MM or more is desirable.
• Strong civil construction experience is essential.
• Self-performing experience is a plus.
