About the position

The Civil Project Engineer role involves providing project design and drafting support for various civil engineering and geologic projects. The position requires the preparation of plans, drawings, and figures, along with task implementation and completion. The engineer will assist in business development and maintain client relationships, ensuring satisfaction with project deliverables. Coordination with co-workers for task assignments and technical training is essential, along with strong attention to detail and self-discipline.

Responsibilities

• Provide project design and drafting support for civil engineering and geologic projects.
• Prepare plans, drawings, and figures using AutoCAD software.
• Conduct cost and quantity estimating for projects.
• Maintain a digital file system for project documentation.
• Perform field assignments including groundwater sampling and site reconnaissance.
• Conduct construction observations and flow measurements.
• Collect data and perform site assessments in various weather conditions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD software for drafting and design.
• Experience in civil design and project management.
• Strong attention to detail and self-discipline.
• Ability to work in a team and coordinate with co-workers.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with environmental permitting and compliance.
• Knowledge of geotechnical investigations and solid waste management.
• Familiarity with storm water management practices.
