As a Civil Project Engineer at Raise Recruiting, you will play a pivotal role in managing and executing a diverse portfolio of engineering projects that span the globe. This full-time permanent position is based in Hickory, North Carolina, and offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing you to work remotely three days a week and spend two days in the office. Initially, you will be expected to work in the office for the first month to familiarize yourself with the company, its projects, and subcontractors. In this role, you will collaborate closely with other registered engineers and architects, as well as engineering cell colleagues, to ensure the successful delivery of multi-discipline engineering projects. Your responsibilities will encompass all aspects of project management and design, from the initial planning phase through to construction. You will manage production work on all phases of projects, including schematic design, design development, and the creation of construction documents. Engaging with clients to understand project requirements and presenting design concepts will be a key part of your role. You will also be responsible for developing design documents and calculations for civil engineering projects, creating CAD drawings that meet client specifications, and conducting research to gather relevant technical data. Your work will involve producing final documents suitable for client submission, developing detailed construction plans, and ensuring the accuracy of technical documents through quality assurance reviews. Additionally, you will participate in site visits, conduct field measurements, and resolve complex technical issues, providing guidance to the project team throughout the process. This position requires a strong background in civil engineering, with a focus on infrastructure and development projects. You will need to be licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) or be able to obtain licensure within six months of hire. The role also involves some travel, estimated at 10% to 15%, primarily for site visits and client meetings, with travel expenses covered by the company.
