About the position
The Civil Project Engineer will be responsible for designing various aspects of engineering projects, including layout, grading, earthwork, and stormwater management. This role involves conducting field investigations, preparing design submission packages, and ensuring compliance with applicable codes. The position requires both on-site and remote work, providing flexibility in the work environment.
Responsibilities
- Design all aspects of engineering projects including layout, grading, earthwork, storm drain, septic, sanitary sewer, water, storm water management, and erosion/sediment control.
- Perform field investigations to determine existing conditions.
- Prepare agency design submission packages for reviews and approvals.
- Participate in permitting and completion of as-constructed/as-built drawings.
- Interpret and apply all applicable federal, state, and local codes.
- Draft technical specifications.
- Occasionally travel to project/client sites to complete tasks or attend meetings.
Requirements
- 2-7 years of relevant design experience in the site-civil engineering field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD & Civil 3D.
- Experience designing land development projects.
- EIT Certification or ability to obtain an EIT Certification within the next 6 months (preferred, not required).
