About the position

We are seeking an experienced Civil Project Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related Engineering discipline, along with a minimum of 6 years of professional experience in Land Development. This role offers the opportunity to lead a variety of public and private site development projects across diverse markets. The ideal candidate should hold a Professional Engineer (P.E) license or be able to successfully obtain their P.E license within 6 months of starting the position. In this role, the Civil Project Engineer will manage multi-discipline projects on various project sites within the City of Philadelphia and the surrounding region. Responsibilities include overseeing the development of Land Development Plans, which involves preparing engineering design drawings, technical specifications, and engineering reports from the schematic design phase through to construction. The engineer will also coordinate permits through regulatory agencies for large-scale, complex projects and provide expertise in hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, including flood control and water quality compliance. Additionally, the Civil Project Engineer will delegate workload to Junior Engineers and Drafters, mentoring and guiding them in developing Stormwater Management strategies, Utility Coordination, and Erosion & Sediment Control Design. The role requires managing multiple projects and tasks, monitoring schedules and budgets to ensure effective project completion. Field inspections may also be required, and regular meetings with clients will be part of the responsibilities. The engineer will prepare proposals for new and existing clients, including estimating project fees.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple projects and tasks; monitor schedules & budgets to ensure effective completion of projects accordingly.
  • Complete field inspections as needed.
  • Meet regularly with clients.
  • Prepare proposals for new & existing clients including estimation of project fees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 6+ years of professional experience in Engineering.
  • Experience with Land Development design projects.
  • P.E license in PA or ability to obtain it within 6 months of start date.
