About the position

The Civil Project Engineer will oversee and contribute to various large-scale and smaller capital projects, primarily in the renewable energy sector, including solar and wind facilities. This role requires civil engineering expertise to evaluate project drawings and manage requests for information (RFIs) across multiple projects, ensuring compliance with specifications and requirements throughout different project phases.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and contribute to large-scale and smaller capital projects.
• Provide civil engineering expertise, focusing on evaluating project drawings and handling RFIs.
• Define the scope of work and develop technical specifications during the early project phase.
• Evaluate drawings, studies, and analyses during the procurement phase to ensure alignment with project specifications.
• Assist contractors during the construction phase by addressing questions and troubleshooting issues on-site.

Requirements

• BS degree in Civil Engineering
• 10+ years of experience in civil engineering with a PE (Professional Engineer) license
• Utility/Power industry experience with renewables or fossil fuel plants
• Design experience along with field experience
• Proficiency in Bluebeam and MS Office; ProjectWise preferred
• Detail-oriented with strong communication and troubleshooting skills
• Valid driver's license and dependable transportation
