About the position

The Civil Project Engineer at Souder, Miller & Associates is responsible for planning, designing, and directing civil engineering projects. Responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor budgets for assigned projects, ensuring profitability.
• Monitor and manage work-in-process, client billings, and accounts receivable.
• Manage project and team schedules to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Prepare or direct the preparation of reports, specifications, plans, and designs.
• Conduct peer reviews on reports, maps, and designs for quality assurance.
• Utilize engineering software to prepare engineering documents.
• Supervise client relationship strategies and act as the primary contact for clients.
• Develop pricing, estimating, and marketing strategies for projects.
• Attend client meetings and manage overnight travel as needed.
• Visit project sites to monitor progress and compliance with contract documents.
• Manage marketing responsibilities to obtain work for the firm.
• Develop communication skills and technical expertise relevant to the area of practice.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or science from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 4 years of post-graduation experience in civil engineering.
• Professional licensure required (e.g., P.E. registration).
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a drug test.
