Responsibilities

  • Act in a lead position, providing technical direction, supervision, and guidance for civil designers.
  • Lead new business development and promote repeat business with existing clients.
  • Prepare and review project proposals, qualification statements, and professional services agreements.
  • Plan, develop, coordinate, and direct the team during project execution.
  • Coach, mentor, and delegate responsibilities to less-senior staff, providing on-the-job training.
  • Serve as the primary contact with clients, fostering effective communication between clients and team members.
  • Develop and implement project schedules and resource management for timely performance.
  • Manage project budgets and communicate budget allocations to staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Engineering from a four-year, board-approved engineering curriculum.
  • Active PE (Professional Engineer) license required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Civil Engineering, with land development experience highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated effective leadership skills in mentoring, training, coaching, and developing team members.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in business development and networking events.
  • Knowledge of the approval and permitting process for projects.
