About the position

The Civil Site Project Engineer will play a pivotal role in site development projects within a rapidly growing civil engineering firm. This permanent position involves planning, designing, and overseeing the construction of various infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and regulations while collaborating with project managers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Design, plan, and supervise the construction of infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, buildings, water supply systems, and sewage systems.
  • Utilize advanced tools such as Civil 3D and AutoCAD to create detailed and precise designs.
  • Perform land surveying tasks and develop site grading plans.
  • Conduct hydrology studies and design stormwater management systems.
  • Evaluate potential construction sites and assess risks, costs, and potential environmental impacts.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Develop and implement project schedules and work plans.
  • Ensure all designs and constructions comply with local and federal engineering standards and regulations.
  • Provide technical support for construction crews and conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Prepare technical reports, proposals, and presentations for clients and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
  • 4+ years of experience in civil site project engineering, focusing on site design and development.
  • FE certification is required; a professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and construction project management.
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and other relevant software.
  • Knowledge of hydrology, drainage, stormwater, land surveying, and grading.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to travel to construction sites as needed.
