About the position

The Civil-Structural Analyst position at OLH Inc. involves performing advanced structural analyses to ensure the design adequacy of various structures under normal and accident loading conditions. The role requires expertise in seismic analysis, soil-structure interaction, and evaluating structural responses to various environmental factors. The analyst will also interface with vendors and other engineering organizations, contributing to the delivery of quality engineering services.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced structural analyses of various structures to validate design adequacy.
• Conduct seismic soil-structure interaction and dynamic seismic analysis.
• Develop in-structure seismic response spectra.
• Evaluate structural responses for tornado winds, missile penetration, precipitation, and explosions.
• Travel off-site to interface with vendors, fabricators, and other engineering organizations.

Requirements

• MS Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or BS Degree with current Professional Engineer registration.
• Minimum of eight years' experience in the design and analysis of nuclear or industrial facilities.
• Working knowledge of STAAD, ANSYS, ABAQUS, SASSI, DYNA3D or similar computer codes.
• Sound knowledge of National Codes and Standards such as IBC, AISC, ASCE, ACI.
• Ability to perform field walkdowns of structural systems.
