The purpose of this position is to provide essential administrative processes and technical knowledge while performing the work listed. This role is crucial in promoting Fluor's competitiveness within the global marketplace by delivering quality services of unmatched value and technical competence. The position serves as an Area Lead or Lead on assigned projects or performs moderately complex engineering assignments. The engineer will evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques to a broad set of complex assignments, ensuring that all work aligns with project objectives and guidelines. Key responsibilities include applying Cost Competitive Execution techniques to develop the most cost-effective total project solution for the execution of discipline engineering work. The engineer will also be responsible for developing and reviewing specifications, including design criteria, and participating in activities associated with equipment and material procurement, permitting, and subcontracting. Additionally, the role involves performing and checking calculations, specifying equipment, and solving moderately complex engineering problems. The engineer will review vendor equipment documentation within the discipline and from other disciplines for compliance with project requirements, actively seeking discrepancy resolution. The position requires the ability to analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity, in accordance with organizational and project objectives.
