About the position

A very reputable client is seeking a Structural Engineer to join their team to work on multi-discipline project teams providing structural engineering and related technical expertise. The successful candidate will be involved in various project assignments that may include design and analysis, preparation of plans and specifications, report writing, cost estimating, and construction observation. The work will primarily focus on transportation-related structures, including bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and sign structure foundations. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to significant infrastructure projects while collaborating with a team of skilled professionals in the field.

Responsibilities

• Provide structural engineering expertise on multi-discipline project teams.
• Conduct design and analysis for transportation-related structures.
• Prepare plans and specifications for various projects.
• Write reports and perform cost estimating for project proposals.
• Observe construction processes to ensure compliance with design specifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Licensed in Kentucky (PE) preferred.
• Experience in bridge design.
• Proficient with MicroStation software.
• Experience with Department of Transportation structural projects, specifically bridges and walls (KYTC).
• Highly proficient with structural analysis and design software.
