Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a continuing consciousness of safety in daily activities, and implemented in work designs.
• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and coordinate activities with others.
• Perform structural analysis and design, preparation of detailed design calculations and drawings.
• Proficiently use AutoCAD or similar CAD software for design tasks.
• Think creatively and work collaboratively with other engineers and drafts-persons in a team environment.
• Manage client relationships and develop repeat business opportunities.
• Independently prepare intermediate to advanced level specifications for project assignments, detailing client performance requirements, specific component needs, design requirements, applicable design codes, and vendor drawing requirements.
• Set realistic expectations and ensure assigned projects are completed according to schedule and within budget.
• Plan and manage workload, budgets and project resources, requesting assistance as necessary.

Requirements

• PE license required; SE license preferred.
• 5-10+ years of design experience preferred.
• Experience with STAAD Pro, RISA 3D, Foundation, & Connection.
• Proficiency in Microstation and AutoCAD.
• Experience with Autodesk Advance Steel is a plus.
• Chemical plant or refinery experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering.
