About the position
The position is for a structural engineer with 2-5 years of experience, focusing on both residential and commercial projects. The role involves critical structural analysis and design, contributing to various stages of the project lifecycle while working in a collaborative environment with architects and designers. The engineer will have opportunities to lead project elements and enhance their technical skills.
Responsibilities
- Compiling construction documents and conducting site investigations
- Designing with materials like aluminum, light gauge metal framing, concrete, steel, and wood
- Applying building codes and reference materials to ensure safe, high-quality designs
- Preparing professional reports and construction documents
- Creating sections, details, and specifications using Revit
- Producing and modifying structural sketches and estimating key elements
- Reviewing and coordinating construction documents and project details
- Attending project coordination meetings and assisting in site inspections
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 2-5 years of structural engineering experience, particularly in building design
Nice-to-haves
- EIT Certification is preferred
- Master's Degree in Structural Engineering
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, CWC Woodwork, ENERCALC, Tekla, Tedds, RAM, and RISA 3D
- Knowledge of industry standards (ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, Building Code)
