About the position

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Civil, Structural and Architectural (CS&A) team within the UK's leading supplier to the nuclear industry and a growing global force. The role has hybrid working arrangements and can be based out of either Warrington, Bristol, Leicester, or Glasgow (new project). The breadth of their expertise means they are able to offer unrivalled experience and specialist knowledge across all aspects of the nuclear life cycle, from design and build, through operations and maintenance, to decommissioning, waste management, and remediation. As a Civil Structural Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team undertaking bespoke and innovative designs of reinforced concrete, steel, and masonry structures for decommissioning and new build projects, as well as providing support to operating nuclear sites. The projects you undertake will often relate to structures and infrastructure associated with state-of-the-art mechanical handling equipment and their process and electrical systems. Additionally, you may be involved in stand-alone civil/structural tasks for a range of sectors, including structural inspections and site surveys, primarily for sites across the UK, with some projects based internationally. Due to their vast experience within the nuclear industry, you will often be trusted to undertake projects through the entire project lifecycle. This means you will have the opportunity to be involved in projects from initial scheme and concept design, to engineering and detailed design, overseeing construction, and eventually decommissioning.
