About the position

Our thriving, multidisciplinary Water Resources Engineering team in California is looking for an experienced Civil/Structural Engineer to join the growing team in our Oakland office. AECOM's Global Water Team is involved in high profile, industry leading infrastructure projects in the US and overseas, including a variety of significant projects for Local and National Governments, Water Authorities, and many other clients. We work on projects through all stages from feasibility through design, construction, operation, maintenance, and asset management. Some of the key responsibilities of the position are expected to include: Provide analysis and design support for technical and feasibility studies for water infrastructure projects such as dams and tunnels, including preparation of technical reports and memoranda. Develop conceptual layouts and designs and perform supporting calculations and analyses. Develop plans and technical specifications and participate in construction cost estimating. Participate in field roles during construction projects to further develop engineering design skills. Verify design implementation and adherence to quality requirements through site inspections and office engineering support services during construction. Responsibilities

  • Provide analysis and design support for technical and feasibility studies for water infrastructure projects such as dams and tunnels, including preparation of technical reports and memoranda.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • California PE certification or equivalent (preferred).
  • 5+ years of related experience in civil design (preferred).
  • Proficiency with structural analysis software such as SAP2000 or RISA (preferred).
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD or MicroStation (preferred).
