About the position

The Structural Project Engineer will implement a competitive engineering strategy focused on civil and structural infrastructures. This role is essential for ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet client demands and comply with engineering specifications. The engineer will work collaboratively within a team, providing leadership and support to achieve project goals on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Be a safety role model; maintain safety awareness and zero accidents and injuries in all work performed.
  • Manage relationships with colleagues, acting as a task leader or group leader.
  • Contribute to high standard products, client satisfaction, and company profit goals.
  • Ensure compliance with project requirements and specifications on all tasks in assigned projects.
  • Work on multiple projects in parallel to deliver on-time and on-budget results.
  • Take full responsibility for assigned team tasks across structural, civil, and utility disciplines.
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting to discipline leaders and managers regarding outstanding problems or conflicts.
  • Coordinate effectively with teams and discipline managers to work as a united team.
  • Ensure quality assurance on tasks assigned to the group in all engineering consulting works.
  • Provide timely feedback to group colleagues and discipline managers in design coordination.
  • Capitalize on lessons learned from previous projects and individual experiences.
  • Motivate team members to provide suggestions for technical and organizational improvements.
  • Manage design calculations, design change records, project documentation, and design submittals efficiently.
  • Assist in project developments by providing required calculations and suggestions to support proposal activities.

Requirements

  • BS in Engineering discipline, with an emphasis on Structural or Civil discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience, with at least 3 years in civil/structural engineering consulting practices.
  • Notable track record of delivering engineering consulting projects on-time and within budget.
  • Wide range of knowledge and experience in structural and civil disciplines.
  • Solid knowledge in structure and applied mechanics, with problem-solving skills in diverse infrastructures.
  • Familiarity with design specifications and industry standards such as IBC, AASHTO, FEMA, and OSHA.
  • Proficiency in structural, civil, drainage, utility, and related computer design programs.
  • Solid knowledge in mathematics, engineering mechanics, and engineering materials.
  • Proficiency in design drafting tools such as AutoCAD and MicroStation.
  • Experience in designing steel, metal, concrete, prestressed/posttensioned concrete, and wood structures.
  • Proficiency in office and documentation programs such as Microsoft Office and Mathcad.
  • Experience in leading a structural consulting squad and managing structural analysis and design projects.
  • Willingness to work on construction management and inspection for various projects.
  • Strong culture around safety, working targets, time control, schedule, and project deliverables.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
