About the position

The Civil/Structural Engineer position at Penguin Recruitment offers an exciting opportunity to work within a busy, successful multidisciplinary consultancy in Surrey. The role involves participating in high-end residential projects, including new build housing developments and refurbishments, while contributing to the design and engineering processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare structural designs and supporting calculations for new build and renovation projects
• Attend site visits and design team meetings for upcoming projects
• Conduct structural reports, inspections on defects and recommend remedial work

Requirements

• A minimum of a 2.1 degree in either Meng, BEng or relevant Civil or Structural Engineering
• A minimum of 1 year's professional experience, preferably in the residential sector
• Exceptional communication skills both verbally and written
• Desire to work towards a chartership
• Previous experience with Tedds or similar software such as Revit or AutoCAD
