About the position
Suncoast Post Tension, Ltd. is seeking a Professional Engineer or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to lead the design of multifamily foundations and manage various construction-related tasks. This role involves collaboration with contractors and engineers to address constructability issues and oversee the inspection and repair of concrete and post-tensioning systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead in the design of multifamily foundations.
- Function as a liaison with contractors and engineers on constructability issues, design changes, and construction problems.
- Design residential single-family home foundations.
- Prepare repair procedures for damaged concrete/post-tensioning.
- Manage field crews for both repair jobs and ongoing project site assistance.
- Oversee inspections of foundations and prepare inspection reports as needed.
Requirements
- BS degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
- Multifamily foundation design and construction knowledge.
- Knowledgeable in building construction and construction sequencing.
- Familiarity with ACI and IBC requirements.
- Eligibility to take the FE/PE exams.
- Strong team-building personality.
- Proficient in verbal and written communications.
