About the position
The Civil/Survey CAD Technician position at Actalent involves supporting key projects and pipeline initiatives by developing and laying out pipeline routes that meet specifications and client requirements. The role requires proficiency in generating and editing pipeline alignments, profiles, surfaces, cross-sections, and pipe networks using AutoCAD or Civil 3D, as well as creating technical drawings and topographical maps. Collaboration with engineers and surveyors is essential to ensure that construction projects are executed according to plan.
Responsibilities
- Develop and lay out pipeline routes to conform to specifications and client requirements.
- Generate and edit pipeline alignments, profiles, surfaces, cross-sections, and pipe networks using AutoCAD or Civil 3D.
- Create technical drawings and topographical maps.
- Update various data points gained from the field.
- Collaborate with engineers and surveyors to ensure construction projects are carried out accordingly.
Requirements
- Proficiency in drafting and Civil AutoCAD.
- Experience with CAD software, specifically AutoCAD or Civil 3D.
