The role involves designing roadway geometrics and pavements, grading, storm sewer systems, cross sections, maintenance of traffic (MOT), traffic signals, and ADA ramps. The engineer will perform designs from preliminary through final stages, develop plans, specifications, reports, and quantity computations, and ensure that all designs comply with state and local codes, ordinances, and agency requirements. The position requires the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team to make informed decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Design roadway geometrics and pavements, grading, storm sewer, cross sections, MOT, traffic signals, and ADA ramps.
  • Perform designs from preliminary through final design stages.
  • Develop plans, specifications, reports, and quantity computations.
  • Ensure design compliance with state/local codes, ordinances, and agency requirements.
  • Work independently as well as in a team to develop informed decisions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in transportation design.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering preferred.
  • EIT/FE Certification; PE Licensure is a plus.
  • Proficient with MiroStation, Geopak, AutoCAD, and PowerGeopak.
  • Ability to work independently in a hybrid work environment.
