About the position

The Claim Clerk position at CCMSI is an in-office role focused on providing essential clerical support to the Liability Adjusters and claim personnel. This position is integral to maintaining quality service in alignment with CCMSI's Corporate Claim Standards and client expectations. The role emphasizes strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Match mail for assigned accounts.
• Follow up on bills.
• File claim mail and related documents.
• Set up designated claim files and complete all set up instructions, as requested.
• Act as back-up for Receptionist.
• Summarize correspondence and medical records in the claim log notes and file it in the appropriate claim, as directed by claim staff.
• Retrieve closed files and re-file in storage.
• Maintain claim files in storage.
• Photocopy claim documents, as needed.
• Return provider calls or other calls, as directed.
• Provide support to claim staff on client specific teams.
• Ensure compliance with service commitments as established by the team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the initiative to set and achieve performance goals.
• Ability to cope with job pressures in a constantly changing environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Ability to coordinate tasks with minimal supervision, showing flexibility, accuracy, and initiative.
• Strong discretion and confidentiality are required.
• Reliable attendance within client service hours.
