About the position

The Claim Operations Specialist at Travelers is responsible for supporting claim professionals and assisting customers in the claims process. This role involves building customer relationships, managing financial transactions, and maintaining accurate records while working in a hybrid environment. The position does not involve managing others and requires effective communication and analytical skills to ensure timely resolution of claims.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a customer service representative for the claim department by addressing customer questions and concerns.
• Partner with claim professionals to assist with the timely resolution of claims, including documenting claim files and reviewing medical bills.
• Process and issue claim payments, including outside vendor invoices and attorney expenses.
• Maintain accurate records and information management, preparing and reviewing reports using technology.
• Assist with claim center financial standards, performing underlying controls and communicating findings.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of service-related work experience OR Bachelor's Degree required.
• Experience utilizing computer technology such as Microsoft Office and database software.
