About the position

The Claim Operations Specialist at Travelers is responsible for supporting claim professionals and assisting customers in the claims process. This role involves building customer relationships, managing financial transactions, and ensuring accurate data management. The position operates under moderate supervision and does not involve managing others, making it ideal for individuals looking to contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a customer service representative for the claim department by addressing customer questions and concerns.
• Partner with claim professionals to assist with the timely resolution of claims.
• Document claim files, including notes and diaries, and request necessary reports and records.
• Process and issue claim payments, including vendor invoices and medical processing fees.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare operational reports for claim professionals and managers.
• Assist with claim center financial standards and perform underlying controls.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of service-related work experience OR Bachelor's Degree required.
• Experience utilizing computer technology such as Microsoft Office and database software.
