About the position

As a Claims Adjuster specializing in attorney-represented bodily injury claims, you will manage a portfolio of claims, assessing liability, coverage, and damages while negotiating settlements directly with attorneys. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work independently while being supported by a collaborative team, ensuring efficient resolution of claims and fostering your career growth in the claims industry.

Responsibilities

• Determine coverage and liability for claims.
• Negotiate with claimants or their attorneys to settle claims.
• Settle claims and establish reserves.
• Estimate costs of treatment or compensation for injured parties.
• Analyze and interpret medical reports related to claims.
• Follow up with no-fault parties to manage the claims process.
• Interview and collect information from claimants, agents, attorneys, and police.

Requirements

• Four years of relevant work experience with one year in claims handling, OR
• One year in claims handling and a bachelor's degree, OR
• Three years of relevant work experience with one year in claims handling and an associate degree.

Nice-to-haves

• Auto and/or commercial insurance experience.
