About the position

As a claims adjuster trainee, you'll embark on a journey to help customers navigate the aftermath of accidents and get back on the road. This position is not field-based; instead, you'll be engaging with customers primarily over the phone, building relationships and providing support in a fast-paced environment. Throughout your training, you will learn to manage a full caseload of claims efficiently, overseeing the claims process from initiation to resolution. You will receive comprehensive training on property damage and insurance contracts, equipping you with the knowledge needed to adjust claims confidently and independently. The role is designed to foster collaboration and continuous learning, with ongoing coaching from experienced leaders and support from a dedicated team. The hybrid work model allows you to work in-office for two days a week, as determined by local leadership, while giving you the flexibility to choose your work location for the remaining three days, whether at home or in the office. This arrangement will last for 12 months, after which the in-office requirements may vary based on business needs. If you prefer a more traditional office environment, you are welcome to work in the office as often as you like. To be eligible for this position, you must reside within 50 miles of Progressive's Mechanicsburg Claims office. The training schedule is structured, with hours shifting from 8:30 am - 5:30 pm to 8:00 am - 5:00 pm after the first week. Once training is completed, the regular working hours will be Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
