About the position
As a Claims Adjuster Trainee at Progressive, you will learn to assist customers in navigating the claims process after an accident. This role is primarily phone-based, allowing you to build relationships with customers while managing a heavy caseload efficiently. You will receive comprehensive training on property damage and insurance contracts, enabling you to adjust claims confidently and independently. The position is hybrid, requiring in-office work two days a week for the first 12 months, with flexibility thereafter based on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Determine coverage for claims
- Assess liability and determine fault for damages
- Interview customers, claimants, and witnesses
- Collaborate with appraisers and estimators to manage vehicle repairs
- Negotiate with customers and other insurance carriers to resolve claims
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree with 2 years of relevant work experience
- 3 years of relevant work experience
