About the position

The Claims Analyst III position at AIG involves handling and analyzing general liability claims with a focus on delivering exceptional service and technical excellence. Responsibilities

• Handle and analyze general liability claims under general supervision.
• Ensure ongoing adjudication of claims within company standards and client service requirements.
• Investigate and gather information to determine exposure on claims.
• Direct independent adjusters to gather information and control costs.
• Identify and evaluate coverage issues and prepare comprehensive coverage letters.
• Assess liability and resolve claims within established evaluations.
• Maintain diaries and complete tasks within required timeframes.
• Document claim files with clear analysis on coverage, damages, reserves, and liability.

Requirements

• 3+ years of General and Auto Liability claim experience.
• Experience resolving moderate severity injury claims.
• Ability to evaluate complex coverage scenarios.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Effective decision-making skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Ability to obtain multi-state adjuster licenses within 6 months of hire.
• Creativity in resolving unique and challenging business problems.
• Demonstrated ability to initiate and champion change initiatives.
