About the position

As the world's largest car sharing marketplace, Turo is rapidly expanding and is on the lookout for dedicated Claims Associates specializing in Total Loss to join our dynamic team in Phoenix, Arizona. This role is pivotal in delivering an exceptional claims experience to our hosts and guests, ensuring that every interaction is handled with empathy and professionalism. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in auto physical damage claims and will be responsible for investigating and resolving assigned claims with speed and accuracy, while maintaining a high commitment to quality. In this position, you will coordinate claims processing with Turo's third-party vendors and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of our claims handling processes. Your efforts will help position Turo as a leader in customer service and cost management within the industry. As a Claims Associate, you will be an integral part of our claims department, fostering a revolutionary culture that prioritizes customer satisfaction and operational excellence. We are seeking individuals who are not only customer service obsessed but also possess the ability to prioritize and organize daily tasks effectively. You will need to demonstrate strong negotiation and decision-making skills, along with a keen attention to detail and the ability to work with minimal supervision. A positive attitude, high energy, and a strong work ethic are essential traits for success in this role. Additionally, proficiency with technology, particularly macOS and Google Docs, is required. Requirements

  • Total loss handling experience
  • Strong proficiency in handling auto physical damage claims

  • Excellent follow-through, attention to detail, and with minimal need for supervision

  • Proficiency with technology: macOS and Google Docs

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in balancing solutions with multiple interested parties
  • Minimum of 1+ years experience in auto claims handling experience, preferably with a major auto insurance carrier or car rental company in a file ownership environment
  • BA/BS or equivalent preferred
  • State licensing desirable
