About the position

The Claims and Customer Service Supervisor position at the Office of Medicaid Operations involves overseeing a team responsible for reviewing medical claims submitted to Medicaid. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, organizational abilities, and analytical problem-solving skills to ensure compliance with Medicaid policies and regulations. The supervisor will also provide guidance on claims adjudication and manage team dynamics effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage a team by assigning and directing work, conducting evaluations, and providing staff training and development.
  • Review large medical claim files to determine compliance with Medicaid program criteria based on policies, rules, and regulations.
  • Provide policy and claims adjudication instructions to the Office of Medicaid Operations.
  • Ensure claims are reviewed according to Utah Medicaid policy and Federal and State Rules and Regulations.
  • Maintain composure in stressful situations and resolve conflicts effectively.
