About the position

The Claims Data Analyst at Molina Healthcare is responsible for designing and implementing processes and solutions for analyzing a variety of data sets. This role focuses on data/text mining, statistical analysis, and developing information tools to support informed business decisions. The analyst collaborates with various departments to understand business problems and deliver insights through advanced analytical techniques.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement processes for data/text mining and analysis.
• Apply statistical analysis techniques to structured and unstructured data.
• Collaborate with departments and customers to define requirements and understand business problems.
• Develop algorithms, dashboards, and queries to monitor business performance.
• Create solutions from concept to fully tested production and communicate results effectively.
• Extract and compile information from various systems to identify and analyze outliers.
• Set up processes for monitoring, tracking, and trending department data.
• Prepare state mandated reports and analysis as required.
• Research, develop, and document new standard reports or processes with clients.
• Implement and use analytics software to support departmental goals.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1-3 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in a healthcare environment.
• Advanced level working experience with MS Excel for data analysis, validation, and reporting.
• Understanding of claims process and configuration.

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in data analysis.
